Alaz İkiz se je rodil leta 2003 v Istanbulu v Turčiji. Klavir je začel igrati pri 9 letih, leta 2014 je bil sprejet na Državni konservatorij Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul, kjer je začel s študijem klavirja pri pianistu in komornem glasbeniku asst. prof. İris Şentürkerju. Udeležil se je mojstrskih tečajev uglednih pianistov, kot so prof. Markus Becker, prof. Fernando Viani, prof. Fedele Antonicelli, prof. Alfredo Perl, dr. Özgür Ünaldi, prof. Marta Gulyas in. Gülsin Onay. Udeležil se je tudi 41. festivala Allegro Vivo in poletne akademije, kjer je imel priložnost študirati pri prof. Petru Nagyju. İkiz je nagrajenec na številnih tekmovanjih. Njegovi tekmovalni uspehi vključujejo »prvo nagrado« na 2. mednarodnem klavirskem festivalu in tekmovanju »Rhapsody« v Adani leta 2020, prvo nagrado« na XI. Mednarodnem glasbenem tekmovanju – Beograd – leta 2020, »prva nagrada« na spletnem tekmovanju pianistov za mlade v Evropi 30th Young Musicians leta 2022. Leta 2023 je bil dobitnik prve nagrade mednarodnega klavirskega tekmovanja »Gülsin Onay« in prejel priložnost za snemanje Partite št. 3 J.S.Bacha. Izbran je bil za recital za cikel koncertov »Parlayan Yildizlar« Issanata in prejel častno nagrado »Meriç Soylu« za svoj nastop. Leta 2023 je dobil drugo nagrado na Mednarodnem klavirskem tekmovanju v Radovljici. Uspešen je bil tudi na avdicijah za simfonični orkester univerze za likovno umetnost Mimar Sinan, s katerim bo v prihajajoči sezoni igral klavirski koncert Edvarda Griega. Alaz İkiz nadaljuje študij v razredu doc. prof. İris Şentürkerja na Državnem konservatoriju MSFAU Istanbul. Je štipendist na Glasbeni mednarodni akademiji v Liechtensteinu.

Alaz İkiz was born in 2003 in Istanbul, Turkey. He started playing the piano at the age of 9 and in 2014 he has been accepted Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory where he began his piano studies with pianist and chamber musician Asst.Prof. İris Şentürker. He had attended to master classes of reputable pianists such as Prof. Markus Becker, Prof. Fernando Viani, Prof. Fedele Antonicelli, Prof. Alfredo Perl, Dr. Özgür Ünaldı, Prof. Marta Gulyas and. Gülsin Onay. He also participated in the 41st Allegro Vivo Festival and Summer Academy where he had the oppurtunity to study with Prof. Peter Nagy. İkiz is a prize-winner in many competitions. His competition successes include “First Prize” in the 2nd International “Rhapsody” Adana Piano Festival and Competition in 2020. First Prize” in XI. International Music Competition-Belgrad – Serbia in 2020, “First Prize” in Online Piano Competition For The Youth In Europe 30th Young Musicians in 2022. In 2023 he was the first prize winner of International “Gülsin Onay” Piano Competition and was awarded the oppurtunity to record J.S.Bach’s Partita no.3 He was selected to give a recital for the “Parlayan Yıldızlar” concert series by Issanat and awarded the “Meriç Soylu” Honorary Prize for his performance. He was also found succesful in auditions for the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Symphony Orchestra with whom he will play Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in upcoming season. Alaz İkiz proceeds his studies in the class of Asst. Prof. İris Şentürker in MSFAU Istanbul.
